- Use cool water ( 85ºF / 27ºC max.) and a mild soap, or a human hair shampoo.
The more expensive, the better. Nothing is too good for your PurseLlama.
Hint: A Light conditioner is nice for making your Llama ‘poofy and soft.’ - Never use chlorine bleach. Woolite, or any other ‘cool wash’ fabric cleaner is not recommended.
- Be careful when cleaning your PurseLlama’s face and ears. This area is very delicate and should never be submerged or soaked in water. Dab gently with a soapy washcloth.
- Remove any excess water carefully, avoiding any wringing or twisting. Use a gentle squeezing motion. Also, please avoid making the usual ‘drowned rat’ comments.
- After using a towel to gently press out any remaining water, let your PurseLlama dry in a standing position in the shade. A hair dryer on a low setting can also be used.
- Fluff the fur gently by hand, or with an appropriate grooming tool, until the desired ‘poofiness’ is achieved.
